This year’s Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards, organised by Construction News and New Civil Engineer, recognised individuals and teams that have made outstanding contributions to gender diversity.
A panel of 42 judges whittled down a record-breaking number of entries to a shortlist of 139 individuals and organisations, before picking the winning entries across 15 categories. These ranged from Technical Excellence and STEM Champion to Allyship Champion of the Year and inspirational women leaders in the supplier, consultant and contractor communities.
The winners (see below), announced on 10 October at the awards ceremony at the Leonardo Royal London Hotel in St Paul’s, all demonstrated a focus on improving equality, diversity and inclusion and encouraging the development of women within construction and engineering.
