Planning approval has been given for a tower which designers say will be the tallest in South West England.

Plans were submitted last week for a £50 million office development in Liverpool. The 30 Pall Mall project would provide 225,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of the city’s business district, including an 18-storey tower.

The first pieces of gold cladding have been installed at the £100 million Cube development in Birmingham by specialist German contractor Haga.

Mace has been appointed main contractor on the £15 million Grafton Street development inLondon’s Mayfair
